On Tuesday, November 10, 2020, The Texas Department of Transportation (Drive 288) posted, “We’re excited to announce the opening of Southmore bridge. TODAY! Commuters will be able to drive over SH 288 in both directions. We are still working on the Pedestrian Bridge, it is estimated to be completed in the first quarter of 2021.”
