TxDOT would like to alert you to closures scheduled for next weekend, February 6-9, 2026. These include the closure of Alabama Street from Chenevert to St. Emanuel for the demolition of the Alabama Street bridge over the I-69 mainlanes, as well as related closures.

Included in this email are the following detour closure maps:

• Alabama St
• Alabama St Pedestrian Detour
• SH 288 Southbound to I-69 Southbound
• I-69 Northbound from SH 288 to Alabama St
• I-69 Southbound from Polk St to SH 288

It is important to note that the Alabama St closure and pedestrian detour will remain in effect through Monday, December 7, 2026, to allow the contractor to reconstruct Alabama St. The other closures listed are in effect for the weekend of February 6-9, 2026.
